After sixteen weeks contesting in a prestigious singing competition, Bayelsan Singer, Kingdom Kroseide has emerged winner beating out Francis Atela, the Nigerian Idol has announced.
Nigerian Idol season 6 which started March 14, 2021, hosted by IK Osakioduwa; Seyi Shay and DJ Sose as Judges, had 11 contestants vying to become the next Nigerian Idol.
Yesterday, the grand finale at Africa Magic Studios saw Francis Atela and Kingdom Kroseide performed songs by veteran Nigerian Composer, Fela Kuti - while the former did 'Yellow Fever', the latter gave an amazing rendition of 'Gentleman'.
Our reporter gathered that afterwards Kingdom Kroseide, a student of Computer Science and Informatics, Federal University, Otueke was announced winner, received a cash prize of #30million plus many other rewards including weekend getaway to Dubai for two.
Taking to his Instagram handle shortly after his victory yesterday, the dark-skinned singer appreciated his fans for voting him to be their Idol in the competition. The 24-year-old also added that he'll always do them proud.
"Thank you!!!!!!! I really can say this all night. I wouldn't let y'all down by the Grace of God Almighty. This decision which you took to make me your idol wouldn't be in vane. Thank you Africa, Thank you Nigeria, Thank you Bayelsa, Thank you port Harcourt, Thank you! Thank you !! Thank you!!! I love y'all ♥️♥️"
