Michael Douglas Emmanuel better known as Blaq Messenger is not a new comer in the Bayelsa music industry. Although relatively unknown, he's been very active in his musical career. Pokovirtuousblog investigation reveals that the Hip-hop Artiste was in a group called T.U.B honing his rapping skills for some years prior to his record deal with Etelernse Records this year.
Born in February 4, 1998, the budding artiste happens to be the first child of his parents - having two siblings as his younger one's at the moment. The Okoroba native makes it a point to treat his fans to good music - he has released several songs in the past - but in a chat with Pokovirtuousblog he expressed desire to cancel those songs, as he's stepped up his game for a better service. He also revealed that he is working on a new song to be released shortly.
His musical career may not have been all rosy, but he's very much optimistic that his record deal with Bayelsa's top record label [Etelernse Records] would help shoot him to stardom, plus take his content to a wider audience.
Speaking with Pokovirtuousblog, the graduate of Mathematics stated that the one reason he enjoys doing music is because he wants to 'live forever in the lyrics of his songs'. On where he'd like to be in a few years time, Messenger replied, 'I will be in the United States of America living my dreams'.
In a chat with his label boss, Diamhorn, as to what served as an eye-opener for him to sign the artiste to his label, he stated, '...he's skillful, poetic and prolific - plus he's seen as king David - a soldier'. As to whether he possesses the requisite attributes to make a great artiste, Diamhorn replied, 'He is full of wisdom, intelligence, calculation and amongst all he needs help and support musically and otherwise'.
