If you've been listening to songs of Bayelsan origin, it wouldn't come as a surprise upon hearing that the state has a wealth of talented entertainers - from comedy to music, there are more than a thousand to be found for every one artiste whose song you love. Although the vast majority of them are independent artiste, their determination to succeed has proved a strong ladder as they climb the rung to stardom.


Ebiegberi Gabriel better known as AFRO JC is one artiste of Bayelsan origin  whose unique singing skills beats comparison - from his appearance to his lyrics, each of his songs provides inspiration capable of making one a better version of himself. Indeed the Brass native knows the true purpose of music - adding 'Company' to your playlist would do.


AFRO has been very active in the Nigerian music industry (Bayelsa to be precise) for some years. His passion to enlighten people through music has seen him record so many musical pieces that his fans consider masterpiece - a listen to 'Bere 2' would convince you. In August, 2020, the 23-year-old Soul Singer released an 8-track EP entitled 'Positive Vibration' - and it's obvious he isn't ready to rest on his laurels, as he has several collaboration and solo singles under his belt: 'Amen' ft. Demitee & King Danny, 'Do Me Well' ft. Blake, 'Belinda' - I bet you'll love 'Pressure' as well.




Speaking with Pokovirtuousblog about what triggered him to take the path of an artiste, the dark-skinned R&B star revealed that, listening to Wizkid's songs motivated him to go to recording studio to do music - and that his friends loved his works, thereby serving as a motivation to continue. On whether he would still be doing music after 5 years, he replied in the affirmative, adding that he'd very much love to have attained the status of international music icon, Michael Jackson before that time.
