The Solicitor asked the Governor to appoint an Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state.
The Publicity Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association, Yenagoa branch, Nelson Abali has written a letter asking the Executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Douye Diri to appoint a Commissioner of Justice in the state. In the post, the Lawyer noted that, this is necessary in line with section 195 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended in 1999.
Speaking further, the Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria noted that ours is a constitutional democracy, adding that it behooves on him to appoint a Commissioner of Justice in the state as soon as possible.
