Feast Of The Odds: A Poem By Fagha Clement Joe | The Anomalies In Nigeria Politics

Popular Bayelsan public-speaker, Fagha Clement Joe writes a satirical poem about Nigeria and its politics.

In the poem the poet pointed out how politicians in Nigeria are politicking to get to the hem of affairs.

Fagha Clement Joe, a Nigerian who hails from Nembe in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, has written yet another satirical poem: ' Feast of the Odds'

In the poem using names of wild animals, he potrays the violent nature of Nigerian politicians _ their anomalies and atrocities _ and how that they can do anything, I mean anything to get power.

Read below:

Dupe censored, the elephant
has fallen again like the
heap of itself, not for the
prides alone,

Even the hyena
might have a flavor
if the lion would snooze
on bloody shades coiled in misery
of over fielding,

Jaguar is jaded
to ignore the calypso,
the jackass thought
otherwise,

The vulture too chanced,
to be noticed
the ants in antsy only gather,
for the flood season to
joust with the odds;
the feast of the odds
a trap awaits all.
