Unbelievable: Without An High School Certificate, This Nigerian Woman Was Hired As A Lecturer At Havard University.


Nigerian batik and textile designer, Nike Okundaye lectures at the world's prestigious university, Harvard.

The internationally acclaimed artist says her type of education is not the kind you get in a classroom; it was passed down from parents to children, and that her great-grand mother taught her the craft.

Born in Ogidi at Kogi state, the 65-year old Nigerian batik and textile designer disclosed in an interview that, she learnt the craft from her great-grand-mother, and that the type of education she got was not the type common place in this century; it was passed down from parents to children _ the practical type.

The popular artist has her Training Centres at Kogi  & Osun states all in Nigeria, her arts gallery at Lagos & Abuja, employed as a lecturer in the prestigious Harvard university, plus having trained a fair chunk of students across Europe, Canada and the United States of America.
