The Political Consultant had in a social media post advised followers to quit friendships that don't uplift, Pokovirtuousblog has shown.
Daniel Ogoloma, a Nigerian-British citizen, is one high-profile youth whose influence cuts across Africa. The New Generation Africa founder who happens to be a student of Harvard University, was appointed Ambassador of Peace, Ecowas Commission Youth Council (EYC), last year.
Taking to his Instagram story in the morning hours of today, the Youth Advocate stated that the main reason some adults are poor is because they amass friends instead of mentors, adding that if they must win at life, they'll do well to go all out for the latter.
"Thursday thoughts
I think the main reason poverty torments some adults is because they hit age 25 and above and continued to amass friends instead of mentors. Friends are often on the same level with you. Mentors are often above you.
"If you want to move to a higher level, you need mentors, not friends.
"That friendship group you are sustaining is the issue, leave it. Stop comforting when you are meant to be confronting".
