Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe is one leader in Bayelsa State that is doing his people proud. The Aleibiri native who served as Special Adviser on Youths Mobilization in the Henry Seriake Dickson administration (when he was a Governor), was elected National Spokesman, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) a couple years ago. The 34-year-old charismatic leader has a number of awards to his name, including Bayelsa Merit Awards (BAMA).


Taking to his Instagram handle Tuesday, April 19, the renowned Spokesman shared a powerful post on the need to be one's self to his followers. In the missive, the energetic Youth Leader stated that one would do well to 'Move in one's direction'.


"I hope you’ve learnt how to let go of everyone's opinion of your life? I hope you’ve started to see from a place that lives deep within you, that there is no universally correct way to live a life that is solely your yours?


"Every human being has different goals, has different concepts of what happiness looks like, has a different understanding of what it truly means to be alive. And because of that, people will judge you - the world will try to change you, but you must continue to move in your own direction, you must continue to go at your own pace, because if you allow others to alter your path, you’ll end up living someone else's life.
