Africa's First Bitcoin Investor, Gaius, Offers To Buy Popular Internet Forum, Nairaland, Nigerians Express Admiration

 

The Miami-based Cryptocurrency Trader had expressed intention to buy the 17-year- old internet forum - followers expressed admiration for him, Pokovirtuousblog has shown.

The internet forum, Nairaland was founded by Seun Osewa on March 8, 2005. The media outlet which is the 6th most visited website in Nigeria, according to online reports, has well over 2.8million registered users today.

In a series of posts on his verified Twitter handle yesterday, Gaius Chibueze Ngene, better known as Bitcoin Chief, expressed readiness in paying 50 Bitcoins [#16, 242, 899.76 million) to own the internet forum, adding that Osewa will retain 10% of the company. He concluded the piece by stating that the offer is valid for the next 10 days - the owner have yet to respond as of press time.
