Jihad Doesn't Have To Be Confrontational; It Could Be Diplomatic, Says Mumin Cum Social Crusader, Bello Shagari

The 33-year-old popular Activist had in a social media post revealed that 'Jihad' should be more diplomatic rather than confrontational, Pokovirtuousblog has shown.

Jihad is an Arabic word for 'Struggle' or 'Effort'. In Islam, it means a meritorious struggle or effort to achieve a praiseworthy aim. The word which is commonly called 'Holy War', has key rules viz: it must not be fought to gain territory. It must be launched by a religious leader. It must be fought to bring about good - something that Allah will approve of.

Yusuf Qardhawi divided jihad into three levels. First, jihad against the visible enemy. Second, jihad against Satan's temptation and third, jihad against worldly lust.

Taking to his verified Facebook profile an hour ago, the alumni of Middlesex University, London, stated that muslim faithfuls would do well to make it more diplomatic rather than confrontational.

"Jihad doesn't have to be confrontational; it could be diplomatic".
