Insecurity In Nigeria: Power Should Be Equitably Distributed, Says IYC Spokesman, Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe
The 34-year-old Socio-political Activist had taken to his social media handle to speak on the 'tyranny of the majority', stressing that power should be equitably distributed if insecurity must be a thing of the past in Nigeria, Pokovirtuousblog can report.
It is no news that Nigeria is in a challenging time; all six geopolitical zones in the country has one issue or the other begging for a better solution. While the South East is replete with Separatist groups; North Central grappling with insurgency and terrorism; South West witnessing a rise in Yoruba nation apologists, others are not any different.
A few hours ago, the National Spokesman of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe took to his Instagram handle to speak on the need to put an end to the growing insecurity that has engulfed the country, Nigeria. In the post, the Sagbama native stated that power should be equitably distributed, so that even the minority ethnic groups will have a sense of belonging if Nigeria must have peace.
"The unabated insecurity on the land is as a result of the “tyranny of the majority.” Power should be equitably distributed to the extent that even the minority will feel comfortable".
