Bayelsa's Award Show, BMAA Set For 5th Edition, Invite Entertainers To Submit Materials

 


There has been an air of excitement among entertainment lovers in Bayelsa State upon hearing the 2021edition of their favorite award show, Bayelsa Musical Artiste Awards (BMAA) would hold this year, checks by Pokovirtuousblog has shown. This is coming on the heels of the announcement the award show's Director, Wallzee made on his social media handle.


The Director of Bayelsa Musical Artiste Awards (BMAA), Walter Wisdom Baraladei better known as Wallzee took to his Facebook profile yesterday to inform entertainers in Bayelsa State on how to submit their contents for the award show's 5th edition.


In the post, the Peremabiri native who himself is an artiste, stated that artistic productions to be submitted must not only have been promoted on radio, TV or the internet, but contents released between November, 2019 to May, 2021, even as he wrote the email they are to send it to.

Our reporter gathered that following the announcement, a crowd of social media users have since taken to the comments section of his post (as well as others who posted it) to express their thoughts. Although a handful of them slammed the show, others were very much excited.

Pokovirtuousblog learnt that the award show was launched in 2016, and held 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively - but failed to hold 2020. The 5th edition tagged 'Double Celebration' which would hold this year, has two awards namely: 'BMAA', 25 categories and 'GLEA', 9 categories.
