'We're Not In Competition; We're Simply Taking Over' - Budding Nigerian Artiste, AFRO JC Reveals



A fan on social media has shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat disclosing how that not only does he get out from bed listening to AFRO JC & Blackman PD's latest album, but also praises it - as there have been comments from several quarters in his home state (Bayelsa State) that the album deserves to clinch 'Album of The Year' in any award show organized in the state 2021, Pokovirtuousblog's investigation has shown.


Taking to his Facebook profile in the morning hours of today, a fan identified as Andrew Ayebanoua, asked his virtual friends if they've listened to the duo's latest musical project - with a screenshot from the WhatsApp chat that shows 'NO', as he told the person how he's been responding to the musical pieces.


"Have you listened to Self-made album?" Andrew asked on Facebook.


Sharing the post, he added a screenshot that shows how he responded to his WhatsApp friend that answered in the negative - 'Woke up to Self-made. Album of the year worldwide'.


Upon seeing the post, our reporter gathered that the talented singer shared it on his timeline, as he added a caption that reveals his conviction that music lovers are yet to listen to a collection of good songs in an album like his. He concluded by saying he's not in competition with anyone, but just to 'take over'.


"No! You never heard nothing like this before. We're not in competition - we're simply taking over".


Checks by Pokovirtuousblog reveals that 'Self-made', a 16-track album by AFRO JC & Blackman PD, features 16 artistes of Niger Delta extraction. The album which was released Saturday, May 22, 2021, has attracted a handful of positive reviews from musical lovers on social media.
