Fast-rising Singer of Akwa Ibom origin, Udosen Israel Innocent better known as Starboy Lil-zzy has revealed plans to drop a new song entitled '9ja Delta' this month, Pokovirtuousblog can confirm. In a statement sent to our reporter, the Afrobeat singer talks about the inspiration behind his forthcoming single.
Budding 25-year-old Bayelsa-based Singer, Starboy Lil-zzy, Tuesday informed Pokovirtuousblog about his intention to thank former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan GCFR, for the peace his administration brought to the region. In the statement, he revealed that explains why he's recording '9ja Delta', adding that the musical piece also encourages the people of the area to do all they can to ensure the peace continue unabated.
"What inspired me to write the song is the peace God has given to us through former president of Nigeria, Godluck Ebele Jonathan. Niger Delta is the only region in Nigeria where there is peace and yeah not much development right now, but without peace the little development we have will be lost, so I just wanna use the song to encourage my Niger Delta people to keep the peace. Goodluck Jonathan sacrificed his ambition in 2015 to give to us Niger Delta which we are enjoying today"
The statement further reveals that aside from being a song to appreciate the former president, encourage the people of Niger Delta, it also expresses gratitude to servicemen and traditional rulers as well who have been all out to make life better in the region.
"I also wanna use the song to appreciate Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for letting God use him to secure a peaceful future for Niger Delta. Also wanna thank all our security men in Niger Delta for their hard work in sustaining the peace in the region & our leaders also"
Starboy Lil-zzy's upcoming single, '9ja Delta' which is slated for release Friday, June 25, 2021 features budding artistes of Niger Delta extraction, Demitee & Cornel. Promising Music Producer, DJ Martinez is handling the song's production.
