Yesterday the Nigerian social media space was awash with series of posts; offering prayers for sick 44-year-old superstar rapper, Olanrewaju Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan, who was reported to have been diagnosed with throat cancer in a news report by Sahara Reporters. Although few hours after the news, the singer's elder brother, Baba Dee told Qed.ng he isn't in hospital on account of throat cancer, fans wouldn't believe him as they were yet to hear any word from the award-winning rapper.
Taking to his Instagram handle in the morning hours of today, the 'Remember' crooner spoke rather vaguely about his current health status, as he congratulated his muslim brothers and sisters for a successful Ramadan 2021.
"Eid Mubarak to my lovely Muslim brothers and sisters. May Almighty Allah accept our fast as an act of ibadah. Instagram!!! This is not the one with ram...I must not ignore the massive show of love. Thank you all. I will tell you my story myself. It will be true then not false".
In reaction to his statement, celebrities took to the comments section of his post to express joy. While a star prayed that he stay blessed; expressed gratitude to God, another said he should call it a dinner party - see some comments below:
