The One Thing You'll Love About Fast-rising Nigerian Hip-hop Artiste, Cornelvii

 • Talented Trap Artiste of Etelernse Records, Cornelvii speaks with Pokovirtuousblog.

• Reveals his plans and the height he looks to attain career-wise.

Ever heard what a critic/enemy said behind your back? Can you still call back to mind the areas of your life they faulted? Well, if an enemy wants to criticize Cornelvii, am pretty sure it would be around his musical career. And it's very likely to be something along these lines: 'This guy, each time he raps there is always an air of jubilation, why is that so?'; 'This dude is making progress faster than his height'. I bet these are what his enemies would say, because he knows his onions as an artiste.

Born Cornelius Bunalayefa Gilbert but professionally known as Cornelvii, the artiste whose versatility in the genres of music range from Hip-hop, trap, raggae, afro among others, is one act in Etelernse Records whose song you wouldn't want to pause each time it plays. Although the Oporoma native got signed to the label not too long ago, he's fast attracting a fair chunk of music lovers in his home state to himself.

The Hip-hop Artiste who was born in November 15, 1996 happens to be the last born, having six siblings (as at April, 2021). But his passion for recording good songs has seen him escape being 'the last born' career-wise, as he has released several musical pieces on music streaming platform, Audiomack that has gotten thousands of streams and downloads. Given that he's a relatively new artiste in the industry, Cornelvii has proven himself to be reliable by releasing several good songs within 4 months: ' Force'; 'Bomo' among others.

The Bayelsa born Artiste who has no album or EP under his belt yet, is quite optimistic, as he told our reporter that he knows he has talent for music and that in a few years time he'll be with the likes of American Superstar, Jay-Z - setting the pace for others to follow in the music industry.

"I was born with music in me - I just follow - and I look forward to connecting with Jay-Z and other celebrities like him full-time making history".

Knowing he's an artiste of Bayelsan origin who lives in the state (a state that is still in its nascent stage in the music business), our reporter asked him about the most prevalent challenge in his state's music industry, and how to make it great.

"Bayelsa artistes don't support or help each other - grudges everywhere. My only piece of advice is that they should package themselves positively by establishing musical organizations to help and support artistes. However, when they do that, they should shun everything 'cartel' - like only high table people will be favored. Those kind of things, because that's the one thing spoiling the industry".

The fast-rising Rapper who happens to hold a National Diploma certificate from Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe in Bayelsa State, strongly believes music is the most vital tool one can use to change the society, hence he stated that although he's released no fewer than 3 songs this year, he's very much ready to release more.

"Buddha is what am planning to release officially anytime soon. To be produced by Diamhorn - just don't bother like Buddha".
