It is a known fact that Nigerians are very talented. What is yet to be discovered is that, the South South people of Nigeria especially Bayelsans has a crowd of amazingly talented artistes aspiring to shoot to stardom. While the country celebrates the likes of Harrysong, Timaya, Timi Dakolo among others, it is key we realize that there are several artistes - even more talented than the names just mentioned in the state - one such act who seems to be very good is Tublaze.

Meripima Godwin who goes by the stagename Tublaze is from Biseni, a community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa, Nigeria. The artiste whose amazing singing skills the vast majority of Nigerians are yet to listen to, dreams of nothing other than to succeed in his musical career. In fact, when asked by our reporter where he looks to be in 5 years time, he replied, 'In 5 years time I would have won a Grammy already'.

The independent artiste who happens to be the 5th child among 12 siblings, is poised not to be the 5th in his career - to be the first - as he's committed to getting better career-wise day in day out. Although he has no album under his belt, he has released several songs: 'BFG' in 2015; 'Money' in 2016; 'Alade' ft Kingstainz in 2017; 'Maria' in 2018; 'Tope' ft. Tracy Daisy in 2019 and others.

The undergraduate of Federal University, Otueke, who hasn't spent close to a decade making music is very much filled with goals and dreams to succeed as an artiste - this we know to be true owing to his response when asked by our reporter what inspired him to pick a career in music.

"I discovered I had a unique talent and style of music" he told our staff writer.

Given that he resides in Bayelsa State, a place considered by many to score below 50% on ratings for anything entertainment, Pokovirtuousblog asked him about the challenges he does encounter - to which he replied:

"The challenges that's bedeviling the entertainment industry in Bayelsa State is lack of support for good content and pride. An upcoming artiste is 'forming' for his/her fellow upcoming artiste - which eventually brings bad blood and vibes"

On what lessons he's learnt making music in the state, the chocolate-skinned singer reveals, 'The lessons I've learnt career-wise is: do not compete with anybody - just do your thing the way you can do best, and don't get jealous of others when they succeed" he reveals.

In a bid to know when the Afropop Singer would drop an album - given that he has recorded well over 8 songs, he stated that he's working on releasing one, adding that Nigerians would do well to keep an eye for it. Speaking further, he noted that, the album will have no features, as he's set to get his audience familiar with his sounds holistically. Although there's no date for its release, he revealed that it's very much close to being served on the table of music lovers.
