Funeral Ceremony: Hon. Ebinyo Turner Mourns With Dr. Obuebite Over Father's Demise, Spends Days Consoling

The people of Nembe City have been thrown into a state of mourning, even as they laid to rest their leader, late Chief Robinson Baratuaipre Obuebite-Aneri, the father of the Special Adviser on Investment to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Dr. Jonathan Robinson Obuebite this weekend. The funeral arrangement which runs into days, has not only seen indigenes and community dwellers talk about how much they miss the deceased, but a lot of top government officials visit the community to send their most sincere condolences to the family and former Commissioner of Education - and one such person to do that is Hon. Ebinyo Turner, the Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
In a press statement signed by Comr. Akekere Jerry, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Turner was quoted as saying the demise of late Chief Robinson Baratuaipre Obuebite-Aneri (ASP Retired) is a very painful one, as he's a rare gem whose departure would create a vacuum the people of Ogbolomabiri will always live to remember.
He states, 'Late Chief Robinson Baratuaipre Obuebite-Aneri, is a rare gem whose advice and contributions is most needed at the moment. But since it is a fact that we cannot question God, I am convinced that all hope is not lost, as I pray that he finds solace in the bosom of the Lord'.
The statement also added that, Turner who holds the S.A on Investment to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State in high esteem, would not go ahead with his personal activities at this crucial moment of his boss father's burial ceremony, noting that he needs to be comforted by friends and colleagues.
It further reveals that, the Honorable Chairman who has spent well over 2 days in Ogbolomabiri took part in every activity he's allowed to participate in - to pay his last tribute for the late Chief. From the mortuary to the service of songs, he wouldn't stay behind, but joined the crowd to show how much he feels the vacuum his death has created in the community.
Pokovirtuousblog gathered that the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Gov. Douye Diri, top government functionaries and other eminent citizens of Nembe were all present at the funeral ceremony of the late Chief. Our reporter also learnt that the burial ceremony has a week-long program in honour of the deceased: Friday, April 16, traditional wake-keep; Saturday, April 17, Commendation service, reception, traditional tiripaga and internment; Friday, April 23, omungu aru-traditional war canoe display.
