• Promising Bayelsan Singer Afro Edric talks about his musical journey.
• Reveals he'll be releasing a new single tomorrow.
It is no longer news that Niger Delta is blessed. Think it's a baseless assertion? Ask Burna Boy. While people who are far away may not be conversant with other artistes in the region, it is heartwarming to know that we do have a lot of the likes of Burna Boy, Timi Dakolo, Timaya etc here [South South Nigeria] who are working very hard to shoot to stardom - One such person is Afro Edric.
Born in July 16, 2000, the energetic youth Esogie Lucky Pere better known as Afro Edric who hails from Akassa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State wouldn't keep quiet, as the singing talent in him keeps propelling him to move in the direction he finds maximum satisfaction - and that is doing music. In a family of many siblings, the young singer who happens to be the 3rd born is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with owing to his singing prowessness.
Although he isn't signed into a record record label, the indie Artiste has been able to record several songs that fans find interesting; 'Bless My Hustle' in 2019; 'Hold On' ft. Tizzy Drae in 2019; 'One Day' released 2020 - and it seems he isn't ready to quit any soon, as he makes good use of his time. You wouldn't catch him not recording or learning something to enhance his musical career - he told our reporter that he yearns to become the cynosure of all eyes in the Nigerian music industry.
Speaking with Pokovirtuousblog, the promising singer noted that the one thing that inspires him to do music is what he sees as he connects with people on the daily - a desire to share his discoveries about life and help people to not only get entertained, but learn a thing or two as well - so that in the end theirs would be an opportunity to smile, and not just go through life in hardship.
Enthused about his forthcoming single, the creative wouldn't end the chat without talking about it. The musical piece ['Implication'] which is slated for release tomorrow (Saturday, March 20, 2021), sure holds a special place in his heart. Speaking about the thread that runs throughout the song, an empathetic Edric stated that it hurts knowing many lead a 'fake life' - fake love and nepotism. He added that the single which is produced by Goddy Beatz is one tune you shouldn't miss out on listening.
