The most prestigious award show in Bayelsa state, Bayelsa Media Award was held Thursday, March 24 at Trendy Event Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Although the 8th edition of the award show may have come and gone, fans of the recipients of awards wouldn't keep quiet on social media. From former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan being honoured with 'Leadership Icon Award' down to Drfish of Royal FM 95.5 winning the 'Best Presenter Pidgin' category, each individual/organization honoured is a role model in his field.

Pokovirtuousblog learnt that Drfish was nominated in three categories at the 8th edition of Bayelsa Media Award (BMA) 2021 namely: 'Best Programme Pidgin Radio', 'Best Programme Radio' and 'Best Presenter Pidgin' respectively. To the joy of his fans, the veteran Presenter won the 'Best Presenter Pidgin' category beating Mc Remmy of Creek FM and Mc Tootalk of People's FM to clinch the award. Our reporter also gathered that this isn't the first time for the Media Personality to be honoured with an award - as he's received several awards during his days at Ray Power in Port Harcourt.
