The Artiste Kurokemme And His Music

 • Bayelsan Hip-hop Artiste, Kurokemme chats with Pokovirtuousblog.

• Talks about his musical journey.

It is no news that Bayelsans are talented - and when it comes to music, I dare say that the state is the go-to zone for good songs nationwide - although the media is yet to turn its radar on them. The man, Dennis Kurokemme Amain professionally known as Kurokemme (also called Double K) is a Bayelsa-based Afropop Singer whose love for music could not be shrouded despite the obscurity and backseat position of its state's entertainment industry on a national scale.

Born in December 5, 1990, Double K very well knows the challenges and trials his people have been going through in the Niger Delta region. In a bid to offer his quota towards national development, the spirited youth not only went to the Niger Delta University where he bagged a degree in English and Literary Studies, but immersed himself into music as well - using it as a tool for social change.

Speaking about his musical career with our reporter, the 31-year-old Amassoma native stated that, although he's not yet signed into any record label, he has been receiving a great deal of managerial guidance from Tuloud Records. The Hip-hop Singer who happens to be the last born in his family, reveals that a desire to effect a positive change in his state (and country at large) has seen him release several singles and collaborations: 'Na God',  'Jembe', 'Erukujeje' by J-Boogie ft. Kurokemme amongst others.

When asked what inspired him to pick a career in music, the talented singer disclosed that his siblings and awful experiences in life does trigger him to record songs. He also added that he's very optimistic about his musical pursuit, noting that more than ever he's shooting for the stars.
