Tuesday, 20 October, 2020, would always be remembered as a day of pain, anguish and the highest order of wickedness demonstrated by the Nigerian Military against defenseless protesters clamouring for change - asking the government to save them from the then infamous police unit (SARS), but instead allowed bullets to rain on them.
Pokovirtuousblog gathered that after series of denials from the Lagos State Governor [Babajide Sanwo-Olu], the Nigerian Military and other political heavyweight of being part of the conspiracy to kill the vulnerable EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate 20th October, 2020, a Judicial Panel of inquiry was established to look into the matter, bring the culprits to book and assist the families of victims of the tollgate massacre.
Sadly, despite allowing over 3 months to elapse without having done anything to assuage the grief of family members of the deceased, the Lagos Panel of inquiry led by Doris Okuwobi (rtd) in it's nine-member panel, had 5 vote in support of the re-opening of the tollgate at a meeting held last Saturday, plus allowing Lekki Concession Company to once again run the activities at Lekki tollgate.
Irked by their resolution, Nigerians and lovers of the country has since taken to Twitter to express their displeasure at the decision reached by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry - @proudly Ijesa Boy, 'Our Valentine's day this year is at #OccupyLekkiTollgate'. Adenola Oluwatosin, 'Resilience has been shattered in the face of brutality and SARS bullet...not backing, not now, not never...let our voices be heard'. Hauwa, 'What happened on the 20th of October, 2020 has not been fully addressed. Yet, you want to open tollgate'.
