Following Reno Omokri's post on social media about alcohol, there has been series of reactions on the subject in the Nigeria social media space. Pokovirtuousblog gathered that the Founder, 'Build Up Nigeria' took to his Instagram handle yesterday to educate his fans about the intake of alcohol. In the post, the former Presidential S.A. stated that to drink alcohol is not a sin, but that it is binge drinking that God frowns at.
In a bid to shed light as to why drinking alcohol isn't sinful, the Hollywood Mag Film Festival Awardee noted that, not only did Christ change water into wine - so that humanity would know he isn't against it. He also stated that it is medicinal as well.
Going further, he cautioned, '...Stop allowing yourself to be used for merchandise by men who impose their own laws on you and lie that it is the command of God. Emancipate yourself from spiritual bondage. Get your doctrine from scripture, not tradition or church regulations...'
Checks by Pokovirtuousblog reveals that many of his followers accepted his thought on drinking of alcohol, plus that he talked to a few who share a different view. Observing that the famous Spokesperson has been making a repost of fans, in response to their questions, a follower identified as @fabulous_mane thought it wise to ask him thus, 'What about weed smoking sir? - But he is yet to respond at the time of writing this report.
