In
the article, he explained that people’s ill-actions towards one another has
been the major cause of suicide.

controversial figure argued that suicide is a peaceful way to exit the hardship
of this life - adding that neighbors and friends alike are the major cause, as
they barely help those going through challenges.

Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one’s own death.
What would make a man want to take his own life, end his existence and desire to be committed to mother nature?
Suicide has been trending on the news and Social Media. Almost every now and then on our News feed, there are post made on suicide victims, individuals and groups has always come outright to condemn the individual liberty to take his life, for me let it be, and let us all shut our mouths and hide our hypocrisy in shame.
Researchers have concluded that, there are various agents of Suicide, these are: Schizophrenia, Depression, personality disorder, anxiety, Bipolar disorder etc. Aside what has been mentioned, sometimes, suicide is carried out by an individual to escape pains or sufferings. These pains ranges from; mental, which has been mentioned above, economic hardship, Social and spiritual.
One thing that comes to mind when people abuse those who are victims of suicide, is, do they even know the meaning of the word “mortal” ie subject to death?
I flip through the pages of friends on Facebook, as I, peruse some of the post and comments on victims who have taken their lives, they disgust me. You would see phrases like; “if you are feeling depressed talk to somebody”, “don’t stay alone” “share your problems” and I would wonder, "na mumu person go take him life because woman/man break his/her heart, what a wicked world.
A man in my compound has been suffering from Delusion in schizophrenia (feeling people are after his life), no family members or friends come around, he has totally withdrawn from people around him, family members who are aware of his predicament has refused to take him to a mental home, the Housing Agents have refused the warning of tenants. And when eventually such person either hurts, arm, or kill himself or a neighbour that is when the world would look for another article to excites themselves.
HOW THE SOCIETY ENCOURAGED SUICIDE THROUGH ITS IDEOLOGY OF LIFE:
1. Philosophies like, “the Church is not a charity organization”
2. All men on your own.
3. “If you don’t have money stay away from women”
4. Capitalism.
5. Strata System even in religious setting especially the Church.
6. Social isolations.
A pastor would brag that he only visits people who have made money, so, if you want him to visit you go and make money, and stop complaining.

If we want to be sincere to ourselves we would realize that; we have been the cause of the suicide actions of those close to us, government and God are also inclusive.

A friend once called me from Lagos to tell me, she approached her Church Pastor when she had accommodation issues, she demanded to use the church premises pending on when she would get another accommodation as her Landlord was threatening to throw her things out after he had given her a quit notice four months ago. The Pastor responds was shocking to her when he told her, “it was the church policy not to give out any individual the church premises to stay however shot the period maybe, 2. He told her he was just transferred their Newly and do not know anybody in the church who can accommodate her, and besides he cannot also accommodate her because; he doubts if his wife would fancy an adult female to share apartment with them. Now, don’t ask if she was a tithe payer in the church. I tell you that if there is any die hard tither I have met in my life, SORETY is one. She would attend to her tithes once salaries are paid, before she considers her needs, this I know.
Suicide is an option of a peaceful exit. Whether we like it or not death comes by either your hands, or sickness, accident, and age. While we cowardly wait for death to come claim it's package waybin to it by nature, others have decided to do it themselves, I think suicide victims are courageous soldiers wounded and battered in the war of life, and instead of to wait for death in the sofa of their pains, they decided to take the journey to it.
Until we decide to see ourselves in the mirror of humanity, and share in the pains of others, suicide would be victorious.
