Music Legend, Sir Victor Uwaifo threatens to sue singer Simi for song theft.
In the interview he stated that she copied his 1969 hit song, 'Joromi', sang her version 2017 without giving him credit.
At the annual general meeting of Copyright Society of Nigeria COSON, held at Sheraton hotel, Ikeja Lagos, speaking with SaharaReporters, Sir Victor Uwaifo stated that copyright infringement is a serious issue, but that this generation's mediocre singers are happy flouting the law.
Speaking further, he stated that singer Simi's 2017 hit song, 'Joromi' is a plagiarized version of his 1969 hit song, 'Joromi' that she sang without giving him credit _ he therefore threatens to sue her.
