To commemorate the heroic deed of Major Jasper Isaac Adaka Boro, 16th May has been set aside for the Legendary Niger Delta activist annually.

Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro is a Niger Delta pololitical activist and soldier that was martyred in the year 1968 aged 29, for his fight against the Federal Government to see to the welfare of the Niger Delta oil producing States _ so much oil was drilled from their region, but no substantial compensation was made.

Clement Ovokeroye Paul a media practitioner in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, decries the absurdities of youth on the Boro's Day commemoration, which is held 16th May annually.

In a series of post on his social media page, the political activist stated that sociopaths in Yenagoa have taken to the streets to harass and steal from shops that are open for the day's business. He further called on the Police to get those criminals arrested, so as to serve as deterrent to others who might want to go in their way.
