The presidency cancelled special parade to be mounted by the Brigade of Guards, that is suppose to be part of the activities to mark the president's birthday.

Hmmm, it seems the president wants a different style to his birthday this time. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the special parade that is suppose to be done to mark the president's birthday was cancelled. NAN further disclosed that the special parade was cancelled without any clear-cut reason.
To keep the spirit of the president happy on his birthday, family members and close associates led by his wife, Aishat and some presidential aides led by the president's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, decided to celebrate his birthday on a low-key _ so that cards and other mini-activities could be done to him.
