Niger Delta ex-militant leader, Ateke Michael Tom has been installed as the Amayanabo (traditional ruler) of Okochiri town in Wakirike.
The people of Okochiri in Okrika local government area of Rivers state, couldn't contain their joy as they watched their patriotric agitator and warlord, Ateke Michael Tom crowned Amayanabo of Okochiri kingdom.
Nyisom Wike, the Governor of River state used the occasion to laud the ex-militant leader for his zeal in serving his people stressing that, its the reason he is chosen by the people to be their king.
In the same vein, former minister of transport and chairman of the occasion, Dr. Ebiye Precious Sekibo, also used the medium to call on Niger Delta agitators to sue for peace and tread the path of Ateke Tom.
Eminent personalities at the occasion were:
Chief Kenneth Kobani, Secretary to the River state Government; Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi; Hon. Wellington Granville and a host of others.
Everyone present was treated to a good traditional dances and musical displays.
