Those were days never to be forgotten in my high school. We just travelled to my home town, I enrolled into the community school. But something happened, I saw a boy (my classmate) much younger than I, he used a vocabulary I couldn't understand, I got challenged.
"...what must I do?" I thought to myself. Suddenly I got an answer _ and it was 'read daily' _ so I adhered to that instruction. Two years later we had a debate competition, I won, came out as the best debator in the school that year. What a great feat but it sure provided a huge benefit, and up till this moment am not relenting on my reading habit either.
Dear reader, in an age where there are various means to knowledge acquisition, it is only logical to ask,
' What special benefit does reading offer?'
It is key you understand that; webcast, webinars, podcasts and other forms of e-assisted platforms to receive information cannot take the place of reading as a medium to acquire knowledge. The attitude of reading is the most effective tool against the dreadful enemy called 'mediocrity', if you want to always remain relevant in your career you must read books, if you fancy to acquire more wealth, you must read books. Books have always been a collection of answers to problems and challenges.

The reward you'll find in reading is quite enormous, it offers you the opportunity to gain an edge over your colleagues, peers and even among your equals. Knowledge is the best cosmetic for the mind that radiates a man's value when worn. Going for an intensive read, is like processing a raw material so that it becomes ready as either a consumer or industrial goods.
Knowledge Acquisition: Reading provides you with information. It gives you the necessary truths, ideas, methods and strategies that has worked for others, which you could apply that will make you become useful to society.
A life that fails to read, stands to make a loss on deals. You pay for your ignorance. Every payment (money given out) is an indication of your ignorance or deficiency. So, how do you turn them right side up? ...
You simply go for more knowledge. Am fully aware of the amount of time, airtime and books it takes me to read in order that I acquire sound knowlege in order that I stay as an expert in my niche. Greatness doesn't come cheap,but with an high price. Financial freedom comes with a price-tag, and am sure you know what is right, don't you?

If you invest your time and money on things that can increase your value to society and ultimately your income _ you will always be poor. To gain financial independence you must come out of the game called 'ignorance investment' start investing on things of value, and you'll have every reason to thank me later for this piece.

Studies indicate that people who read have a long attention span than people who don't. Reading on a hard-copy book, in a quiet place provides you with the opportunity to be focused on that masterpiece in your hand, and ultimately in your life, you'll begin to reap the benefit of focus _ which is achievement of goals.
The reason you've not hit the multi-million dollar mark, is perhaps that you've not been focused enough. You'll want to stay focused if you must meet target in life. It's necessary that you have your eyes fixed, if you must become wealthy. Reading is the classroom in which you'll find all the lessons you need to know to stay focused. Take advantage of the focus-power in reading and grow your influence in your niche. That is how it works.

I can remember in my early days of reading, it wasn't easy staying focused, but I persisted even when my mind tells me to go ahead with those favorite music, reality shows and so forth .
I took a firm decision that I'll read for 2 hours, and come rain or sun I ensure that it's attained. And all thanks to goodness, today its been of tremendous benefit, as it is building my 'focus-life' and does help me to move from one level of success to the other.

Do you fancy to become a better writer? Do you fancy to be like Stephen King or Ernest Hemmingway? No problem! One secret you probably don't know about these internationally acclaimed writer, is perhaps that they read often! And it sure can't be different in your desire to becoming a better writer. By taking the decision to read everyday, you become familiar with the writing patterns of various writers, you'll become acquainted with many techniques of writing and that is how you improve yours whether you know it or not.
Every action taken leaves a footprint in your life; nothing leaves you thesame _ you're changed. And the joy of reading is that, it gives you the opportunity to become a better writer, and you know what that means? ... You'll start making money either as a copywriter, freelancer, author and so forth, your bank account will be glad that you read often.

Seize the opportunity to spread your influence on society, change the world through social skills obtainable only in the field called 'reading'. A 2013 study published in the Journal Science, found that individuals who read may have better 'theory of mind' the ability to understand that peoples desires, belief and thought are different to their own. Do you know the impact that will leave on society? You'll want to help people, show them love and give them a helping hand; it will reduce the wars stirred by religious fanatics. And not only that, it will make you become rich. Since you read (novels) you'll get to be compassionate about humanity, seeing what their weakness, ignorance and flaws caused them, that will in turn stimulate you to make an offering that could ease their life, in doing these you are improving their lives and increasing the figures in your account simultaneously. If you remain poor, don't blame anyone, rather blame your stereotyped mindset against reading especially novels.
